Cosy Times Ceramics by Svetlana Slizova
Svetlana Slizova has worked in design for many years, but over the past decade, hand-thrown porcelain ceramics have become her métier.
After studying at London University of the Arts, Svetlana embarked on an inspirational journey to Cornwall in 2014, where she received training from ceramicist Michel Francois (formerly of Leach Pottery, St. Ives). Back in Essex, she founded her own studio, Cosy Times Ceramics, where she worked until she relocated to Denmark in 2020.
Each ceramic piece is designed by Svetlana in her studio in Kerteminde. The unique works are hand-thrown, glazed, and fired at 1250 degrees to ensure vitrification. All pieces are made from the highest quality porcelain, while the glazes are inspired by the natural surroundings of the sea and the various shades of water.
The art boutique Contemporary Art Kerteminde, which is part of Cosy Times Ceramics, hosts regular exhibitions.
